Through our proprietary EpiFinder™ platform, we enable next-generation epigenetic analysis with a level of throughput and multiplexing that is redefining what is possible within epigenomics.

Today, the scientific foundation is in place. Commercial products have been launched. An international customer base is growing. The company is now entering its next phase of development.

The Opportunity

As Chief Executive Officer, you will lead Epigenica through one of the most exciting transitions in the company’s journey.

This is not a company searching for a new strategy. Nor are we looking for someone to reinvent the technology.

Our strategy is clear. Our commercial organisation is established. Our products are on the market.

What we need is an operational leader who can build the organisation required for international growth.

Working closely with the Founder, who will continue as Chief Business Officer, and an engaged Board of Directors, you will lead the company’s operational scale-up while preserving its entrepreneurial culture and scientific excellence.

Your Mission

• Build and develop a strong leadership team with clear ownership and accountability.
• Scale the organisation through its next phase of growth while introducing the structure, management systems and operational discipline required for long-term success.
• Establish KPIs, management routines and execution discipline.
• Strengthen collaboration across Product Development, Production, Bioinformatics, Service Delivery and Commercial.
• Build an organisation capable of delivering consistently while preserving Epigenica’s entrepreneurial spirit and scientific excellence.
• Support the company’s continued international growth. 

• Represent the company externally to investors, strategic partners and the scientific community.

   

Who We’re Looking For

Above all, you are a builder.

You have played a leading role in scaling an early-stage Life Science, Diagnostics or Biotechnology company through a comparable growth journey.

Perhaps you have already served as CEO. Or perhaps you have been the operational leader behind that journey—as COO, General Manager, VP Operations or another senior leader—and are now ready to take the next step.

What matters most is not your title, but your ability to build organisations that scale.

You are recognised for your operational mindset, your ability to remove bottlenecks, make decisions and create momentum. You combine strong operational leadership with scientific or technical credibility and know how to bring together researchers, technical specialists and commercial teams around a common goal.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience building and scaling an early-stage Life Science, Diagnostics or Biotechnology organisation.
• Ability to introduce structure, accountability and operational excellence while maintaining agility.
• Scientific or technical fluency, ideally supported by an academic background.
• Experience working with founders, Boards and investors.
• Calm, pragmatic and transparent leadership.
• A genuine passion for developing people and building organisations.

• Willingness to work closely with the team on-site in Stockholm.

   

This Role Is Not…

This is not a “strategy-first” CEO mandate – the  strategy is already in place. 
 
This is not a “sales-first” role – the commercial organisation is already established. 
 
This is not a turnaround – the technology works. The products are commercialised. Commercial momentum is growing. 
 
This is a builder’s role – success  will come from creating the operational excellence, leadership culture and organisational capability that will allow Epigenica to realise its full potential.
